Das Alphabet der sexualisierten Gewalt
«Das Alphabet der sexualisierten Gewalt” is an autofictional search for traces. It brings together terms, fantastical stories, and political spells that serve as starting points for reflecting on sexualised violence and its effects. It is an attempt to give precarious memory a vessel – and to imagine a self-determined future. As part of “rrRrr – Performance Festival presented by Perrrformat”, the “Alphabet” takes to the streets for the first time, becoming a performative city walk, from A for Alltag (daily life) and C for Catcalling to Z for Zuhause (home).
Laura Leupi (lives and works in Zurich) writes prose and performance texts, both individually and in collectives. Laura's debut work, “The Alphabet of Sexualized Violence” was published in 2024 by März Verlag. It received the 3sat Prize at the 2023 Bachmann Prize and was awarded a Swiss Culture Prize in 2025. Laura was most recently a resident writer at Theater Basel. In addition to writing for various theatres, Laura is actively involved in awareness work and urban culture.

With its alternative Documentation, Perrrformat explores new approaches to documenting performance. Together with artists and other cultural practitioners, formats are developed that do not simply record what has happened, but open up new perspectives on performative processes.
